YOGA OVERVIEW
Yoga is an incredible tool that seeks to increase our balance, strength, and flexibility. A sense of well being and peace of mind may be found through the practice of yoga. By focusing on the breath and being aware of our motions, our yoga body and mind will flourish. Patience and consistent practice over a period of time is essential to these changes. We must listen to our own bodies and progress at our own pace. Under the guidance of the yoga instructor, all these things are possible.
Beginner Yoga: This is a low intensity class focusing on the basic movements; breath, technique, balance, stability, and flexibility. It is a great start for those new to yoga.
The beginner’s yoga allows time to become familiar with yoga and create a solid foundation. You will learn the basis of poses, the fundamentals of breath support and the techniques of basic movements. Body positioning, descriptive wording, modification and demonstration are emphasized in this class. The approach of this class is steady and precise.
Power Yoga: This is a higher intensity class of mixed-level intermediate/advanced students focusing on endurance and strength with fun group learning dynamics.
The power yoga class will further explore the amazing abilities of the mind and body. It will continue building an understanding of yoga, while working at your appropriate level, and exploring how to constructively challenge your practice. Power Yoga classes are higher intensity but take a variety of approaches to ensure each individual is growing and excelling in their practice.
